Tesla — the electric vehicle and clean energy company led by Elon Musk — has initiated a pilot program for its Full Self-Driving (FSD). The beta just started in Austin and the Bay Area, hopefully fully launching in June. Cue back to when Elon Musk promised that 7 years ago.

🧠 China’s AI agents can push buttons faster than you

China is rapidly embracing the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and leaving all the other AI agents in the dust. These digital helpers aren’t confined to being a chatbot - instead they have direct access to your apps. MCP serves as what Ant Group calls a “USB-C port for AI applications” – a universal connector allowing AI agents to integrate with multiple systems.

An integrated ecosystem helps. WeChat dominates as a single system for everything from payments to news to government surveillance. So the cohesion certainly lubricates MCP access. The stuff Apple can only dream of.

Fun Fact: Chinese social media users — particularly on platforms like TikTok and Bilibili — have turned AI video glitches into a new form of entertainment.

⚡ AI Data Centers: The Billion-Dollar Behemoths

AI Data Centers — the backbone of modern artificial intelligence operations — are rapidly becoming some of the most expensive and energy-intensive infrastructures on the planet. Building a state-of-the-art AI data center now requires investments that can rival the GDP of small nations.

Nine nuclear reactors: constructing a leading-edge AI data center by 2030 could cost up to $200 billion, necessitating around 9 gigawatts of power.

🎯 Fun Fact: The energy consumption of AI data centers is projected to more than double by 2030, potentially accounting for over 20% of global electricity demand.
